On June 1st, the 2023 International Health Cooperation Conference (IHCC) - Zhejiang Cancer Hospital Academic Special Session was successfully held. David, Vice President of Dana Faber Cancer Center in the United States Professor Read, Ms. Wu Qiuting, CEO of Aiwo, and representatives of related companies visited Zhejiang Cancer Hospital for communication. Professor Cheng Xiangdong, Secretary of Zhejiang Cancer Hospital, Professor Zhu Ji, Vice President, Professor Zhang Aiqin, Director of Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, Professor Xu Haiming, Director of Medical Department, Professor Xin Wenxiu, Deputy Director of Pharmacy Department, and Professor Yang Ning, Director of the National Cooperative Office, attended the exchange.

Vice President Zhu Ji and Vice President David of Dana Faber Cancer Center Professor Read warmly welcomes his arrival and looks forward to further understanding between the two parties through this exchange. Professor Read stated that after multiple online exchanges in the early stages, there is much room for cooperation between the two sides, and experts from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital were invited to the United States for exchange. Subsequently, Director Yang Ning introduced the hospital's development history, strategic planning, diagnosis and treatment capabilities, scientific research and teaching, talent cultivation, international cooperation, and major projects.

Professor Read introduced the scale of Dana Faber Cancer Center, drug trial results, clinical diagnosis and treatment and research cycle models, multi-disciplinary cooperation, as well as the development status of 7 diagnosis and treatment centers and research projects, including breast tumors, gynecological tumors, chest (lung) tumors, gastrointestinal tumors, and early tumor diagnosis projects. Professor Read also introduced the efforts made by Dana Faber Cancer Center to enhance patients' medical experience and create a patient friendly environment from aspects such as internal and external construction, software and hardware support. The medical environment and humanistic care created by Dana Faber Cancer Center for patients are impressive and can also be used for reference. Both parties exchanged ideas on outpatient appointment methods, patient consultation processes, and MDT initiation forms. The two sides discussed the cooperation mode and direction, and established a strategic cooperation relationship between institutions, which can gradually deepen from clinical research exchange to post doctoral talent cultivation. After the symposium, Professor Read visited the outpatient building, pharmacy, traditional Chinese medicine museum, and ward of the hospital.
