In order to strengthen the exchange and cooperation of advanced experience and service concepts in medical management across the Taiwan Strait, Jiangsu Aiwo Medical Organization organized a delegation from Changzhou First People's Hospital to a Taiwan hospital for a one-week study.
Taiwan, China is famous for its advanced medical technology. Among the top 200 hospitals in the world, there are 14 hospitals in Taiwan, ranking third in the world after the United States and Germany. It is not only the first in Asia, but also far ahead of other Asian countries.
In evaluating the World Health Ranking, the Economist magazine ranked Taiwan second in the world, after Sweden, based on various indicators.
Paul Krugman, 2008 Nobel laureate in economics He once wrote an article entitled "Pride, Prejudice, and Insurance", asking the US government to humbly learn from Taiwan's experience of universal health insurance, and praised Taiwan's universal health insurance as a world model.
On April 14th, the students came to the first hospital for this study - Taichung Rongmin General Hospital in Taiwan, Baodao. Taichung Rongmin General Hospital is a comprehensive public hospital that integrates teaching, scientific research, first aid, and preventive health care. The hospital was originally the Taichung Branch of the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and later became independent as the Taichung Veterans General Hospital in 1988. It is a "medical center" level hospital in Taiwan, directly under the jurisdiction of the National Military Retired Officers and Soldiers Guidance Committee of the Executive Yuan, and has jurisdiction over local hospitals for the benefit of the military.
President Xu Huiheng extended a warm welcome to everyone and made a speech. The two sides discussed the current situation and future development of public hospitals in the mainland and Taiwan.
The construction of the entire medical information system of Taichung Rongmin General Hospital is very complete and advanced. Although some systems started relatively late, their development speed is very surprising.
In 2003, before the storage system of the Taiwan Health Insurance Institute was completed, the Taichung Rongmin General Hospital had completed the establishment of a data storage system; In 2004, the electronic medical record system was first launched in Taiwan, while the Taichung Rongmin General Hospital established a balanced scorecard system. The doctors attending this study in Taiwan are very interested in this. Under the communication arrangement between Aiwo Medical and the Taichung General Hospital for the Honorable, Director Lai presented the course "Development Results of the Information System of the Taichung General Hospital for the Honorable" to everyone.
After class, Director Zhang said that many of the advanced concepts and applications of Taichung Rong Hospital in terms of innovation and architecture of medical information systems are worth learning and using for reference by hospitals in our mainland. In hospital management, the improvement of hospital information systems plays a pivotal role. Only by realizing informatization and facilitating patients can hospitals truly embody patient focus and create a better patient experience.
On April 17th, the students arrived at another very famous hospital in Taiwan - the Kaohsiung Medical University Affiliated Hospital (hereinafter referred to as the Kaohsiung Medical University Affiliated Hospital). Founded in 1957, the hospital is the first private medical university affiliated hospital in Taiwan, and is a comprehensive hospital integrating teaching, research, and service.
Vice President Wu Dengqiang, Senior Medical Officer, personally received the doctors from Changzhou First People's Hospital and delivered a speech. As the first hospital in South Taiwan to pass JCI certification, Senior Medical College Affiliated Hospital has arranged a course titled "Braking Various Quality Inspection Systems to Introduce JCI's Promotion in Senior Medical College as an Example" to share relevant experiences.
Subsequently, the course "Crisis and Turning Points in Medical Disputes" brought by Nurse Chief Wu Meixing and the course "Hospital Operation Strategies and Practices under the Taiwan Medical Insurance System" by Director Zhang Biyu also attracted great attention from the students, allowing them to deeply understand the integrity of Taiwan's medical care and its differences from the mainland.

Conclusion of training and certification
During this study in Taiwan, doctors attending the seminar praised Taiwan's complete medical system, humanized service concepts, refined management concepts, a complete hierarchical medical community diagnosis and treatment network, and implemented talent policies. It is agreed that although the study time is not long, it has brought back knowledge gains, more importantly, the impact on their own medical service concepts, as well as doctors' reflection on the mission and values of serving patients.
"The two sides of the Taiwan Strait are close to each other, and the medical personnel on both sides of the Taiwan Strait also have a constantly divided friendship. With the deepening of exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, Aiwo Medical attaches great importance to academic exchanges with the medical community in the Taiwan region, and has repeatedly invited senior medical professionals to visit the mainland and conduct corresponding academic exchanges. This study by the team of Changzhou First People's Hospital will further deepen exchanges at the medical level and contribute our strength to the health and well-being of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.".
