The third China US Health Cooperation Forum Suzhou International Expo Center has successfully concluded! This grand event includes the opening ceremony, the main forum, and six sub forums. As a sub forum of this conference, the simulation forum is unique in the entire conference and promotes the successful convening of the entire conference.
Entering the forum venue, compared to other forums, the layout of the Sino American Simulation Forum can be said to be unique. In addition to the podium, there are also various lifelike simulators on the podium, making the participants' eyes shine.
At about 1:00 pm, at the Sino US Simulation Forum, Zhu Binhai, Director of the Academic Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital (the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University), and Yang Jun, Deputy Director of the Emergency Department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Affiliated to Capital Medical University, joined the stage together, marking the beginning of the Sino US Simulation Forum. The two experts gave a brief introduction to the current application status, development prospects, and experts attending the forum today.
The first expert speaker on the stage is Raymond W. Pak, a urologist from the Mayo Medical Center. His topic for everyone is "The Application of Simulation in Laparoscopic and Robot Surgery Training." He specifically talked about the use experience of prostate surgery simulators, which may cause inconvenience to patients in life after prostate surgery. By using the simulator, we can effectively understand the progress of surgical techniques in advance, Avoid problems that may arise during actual surgery as early as possible.
At the same time, he also stated that in many simulated practice exams, the highest scoring person is not a medical worker, but rather an employee with no medical background at all. Therefore, sometimes we need to discuss together how to treat the relationship between simulated medicine and real medical care.
Next, the second expert speaker is Liu Yugeng, Deputy Director of the Emergency Department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University. Director Liu Yugeng has many experiences in large-scale disaster emergency drills, and introduced his main topic of this forum, "Disaster Emergency Response Plan." In combination with NDLS (United States) National Disaster Life Support, he gave a detailed explanation from the beginning of the disaster to the final treatment of the injured.
.
After the end of the "paper talk", Director Liu Yugeng stepped down and a video of a gas station explosion was played on the large screen. The highlight of this Sino US simulation forum arrived. The affected people, consisting of several simulators and SP injured people, were lying down on the stage, and the "large-scale disaster emergency drill" officially began. The emergency team for this drill was an emergency team from the Suzhou Municipal Hospital. Once the drill started, emergency personnel responded quickly, Enter the scene to examine the injury classification and start treatment.
The members of the emergency team of Suzhou Municipal Hospital cooperated well and were highly efficient. In just a few minutes, they completed the treatment of the injured with intestinal exposure, spinal cord injuries, pregnant women, and other injuries caused by the explosion, and took them away from the scene. The drill was a complete success.
After everyone recovered from the tense and breathtaking disaster emergency drill just now, Yang Jun, two deputy directors of the Emergency Department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Zhang Yun, took the stage to explain the "Significance of Simulation Teaching in Post Competency Training." The two experts played SP, using on-site simulation equipment and simulators, Several cases were used to test the competency of on-site clinical workers in daily diagnosis, fully reflecting the clarity, advantages, and efficiency of simulated teaching in job competency training.
The final expert on the stage was Michael J. Maniaci, Director of Internal Medicine at the Mayo Medical Center, and President of the American Medical Association. He shared the "Introduction to Simulation Based Education" with everyone, discussing the achievements and development of simulated medicine teaching in the United States. He also hoped that there would be more exchanges and cooperation in the field of simulated medicine education between China and the United States.
So far, the third session of the 2019 Sino US Health Cooperation Forum - the Sino US Simulation Forum has come to an end.
