The latest official announcement of the British government: the requirement for negative nucleic acid test results of COVID-19 for passengers from mainland China entering the UK will be cancelled from April 5.
According to the principle of diplomatic reciprocity, it is expected that China will also cancel the nucleic acid testing certificate from the UK to China in the near future.
That is, if the flight arrives in England after 23:59 on April 4th, it will no longer be necessary to present a nucleic acid negative report to the airline before traveling.
At the same time, from March 17, 2023, passengers aged 18 or above who depart from Chinese Mainland and arrive at Heathrow Airport will no longer be invited to perform voluntary testing upon arrival.
It should be noted that before April 5th, when entering the UK, a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours is still required. The report must include the following information:
The latest international data show that the COVID-19 variants observed in China are the same as those circulating in the UK. It is worth noting that although the United Kingdom has cancelled the requirement for Huaxinguan test, the entry personnel from the United Kingdom to China still have to carry out nucleic acid test 48 hours before leaving, and those with negative results can come to China. In addition, airlines carrying flights to China from the United Kingdom will check the paper nucleic acid test negative certificates of passengers within 48 hours before boarding, and Chinese customs will also conduct spot checks on the paper certificates when passengers enter the country.
