Children's National Hospital (CNH), located in Washington, D.C., provides the best care for children and their families. Its strengths include internationally recognized pediatric experts, groundbreaking research and technology, and a health care experience designed around the unique needs of children.
Children's National is ranked the fifth-best children's hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and has special expertise in cancer, endocrinology, diabetes, neonatology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonary medicine and pulmonary surgery. Won 10 top awards.
The hospital's expert care has also earned the hospital the Magnet Hospital designation, which is awarded only to hospitals that demonstrate the highest standards of care and patient treatment. Only 7% of hospitals in the United States receive this designation, which is enough to prove that the hospital is one of the top medical institutions.
The hospital is one of only 12 children's hospitals in the nation to receive Level 1 surgical accreditation from the American College of Surgeons, a distinction awarded only to surgical centers that improve surgical quality, prevent complications, reduce costs and save lives.
