Project Introduction
IGT is English Image Guided The abbreviation for Therapy refers to the use of thin catheters inserted into the body under the guidance of CT or angiographic equipment to treat diseases without cutting through the body.
IGT is a specialized interventional therapy institution for intravascular tumors. Interventional therapy for intravascular tumors involves placing a catheter directly into the nutrient vessels of the tumor from the artery, injecting chemotherapy drugs, and then injecting vascular embolic particles, which can kill tumor cells while blocking the nutrition of the tumor to achieve a dual therapeutic effect.

Dr. Shinichi Hori is an interventional radiologist at the Image Guided Therapy Institute located near Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan, providing interventional oncology services to over 1200 patients annually. He is currently the director of the institute. He is not only responsible for the related work of interventional oncology seminars, but also conducting training for young interventional radiology experts from Asian countries.
Dr. Shinichi Hori has developed a spherical embolic material, HepaSphere, which has been commercialized worldwide. He not only treats liver tumors, but also extrahepatic malignancies, including breast cancer, primary lung cancer, gynecological malignancies, etc. A microcatheter is also being developed that allows it to be operated without combining microwires.

Dr. Atsushi Hori Proficient in non surgical, minimally invasive, image guided surgical treatments. His professional focus is on the use of image guided and minimally invasive surgery, including transcatheter arterial embolization (TACE), to diagnose and treat multiple types of cancer. Dr. Atsushi And his integrated team can provide an alternative to treating cancer complications and palliative treatment. He is also certified by the Committee on Diagnostic Radiology and Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Atsushi received a medical degree from Jintai University and completed a residency internship at the Renku Comprehensive Medical Center. He is now the director of the Image Guided Therapy Institute in Osaka, Japan. In addition, he has published multiple research papers, case reports, and related series in multiple domestic and international journals.
Dr. Atsushi is mainly engaged in the treatment of primary and metastaticfile breast cancer, and the treatment of liver cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, etc. His research interest is the application of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and hyperthermia.
