Hospital Introduction

Norma Hospital is a non-profit private hospital located in Kuching, Sarawak, Eastern Malaysia. Founded in August 1988, it is the largest private medical center in Sarawak State. As early as 2005, it was fully certified by the Malaysian Health Quality Association (MSQH). In the same year, it also received JCI certification from the internationally renowned International Joint Commission. In January 2021, it again received JCI certification, and in 2017, it won the JCI Certification Status Award (2017-2020)

The specialized outpatient clinics established by Norma Hospital include cardiology, nephrology, neurology, pediatrics, psychiatry, oral surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, urology, and clinical oncology

Learning arrangements

[Learning Objectives]

√ Provide training and guidance on clinical follow-up. The nurse demonstrates the knowledge and skills required to achieve the competencies and goals required by the program

√ Obtain knowledge from the job and practice what you have learned

√ Instil work ethics through interaction with hospital personnel

√ Provide on-the-job training (without hands-on observation) and acquire relevant skills

[Language Requirements]

There is no English proficiency test, and the language of work and training is English

[Learning Duration]

Learning can be divided into:

√ 2 weeks (14 days)

√ 4 weeks (28 days)

√ 8 weeks (56 days)

√ 12 weeks (84 days)

√ 24 weeks (168 days)

Follow up training time is 8.30am - 4.30pm from Monday to Friday

[Clothing Requirements]

During the training period, it is necessary to wear the full uniform of your own hospital and only replace the clothes provided by Norma Hospital in specific areas

[Number of people required]

At least 20 people will be divided into different groups for learning according to specific arrangements
