The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) announced the winners of the 2022 PCF Team Challenge Award and a total of over $12 million in innovative prostate cancer research funding. Project leader Howard I. Scher, MD, medical oncologist, and project leader for biomarker development, as well as D. Wayne Callaway, Chairman of Urology and Oncology, Behfar Ehdaie, MD, Master of Public Health, and David Knorr, MD, are recipients of their project "Enhancing antigen presentation and anti-tumor immunity of prostate cancer through intratumoral delivery of Fc enhanced anti CD40 antibody therapy.". The PCF Challenge Award funds an international, multi agency, interdisciplinary team of researchers to conduct highly innovative research that accelerates new and improved therapies for advanced prostate cancer. After a rigorous peer review process to assess the scientific value and potential patient impact of each project, the PCF Challenge Award is awarded to the team of the world's leading cancer research institutions

Urvi A. Shah, MD, a blood oncologist, has been appointed recipient of the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Scholarship Award in 2023. As ASH's most prestigious research award program, the ASH Scholar Award supports industry researchers in the hematology research profession.
