"Cloud Based" Gathers Intelligence and Jointly Draws a New Vision for the Development of Intelligent Medicine

  On July 24th, the "International Conference on Cloud Platforms for Medical Development in the Post Epidemic Period" jointly organized by the China Medical and Health Development Foundation and Jiangsu Aiwo Medical Co., Ltd. successfully concluded. This meeting focused on the application of new technologies such as 5G, AI, cloud, big data, and the Internet in the medical field. Through academic lectures, round table forums, and other forms, we exchanged epidemic prevention achievements, discussed future development trends, and achieved fruitful results. Gao Li, the representative of the World Health Organization in China, Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the CAE Member and a professor of Guangzhou Medical University, delivered a speech and spoke highly of the convening of the meeting.

  At the meeting, many guests conducted in-depth exchanges around the transformation and innovation opportunities of the medical industry in the post epidemic era. Under the auspices of President Zhao Jun of Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, the meeting opened.

  In his speech, Ni Qian, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park, shared the development of the biomedical industry in Suzhou Industrial Park, hoping to accelerate the development of the health industry in the park by accelerating the promotion of new technologies to empower the medical industry, and to escort the construction of smart medicine.

  Academician William Hsiao, an academician of the American Academy of Sciences, professor of economics at Harvard University's School of Public Health, delivered a speech on the topic "Trends in the Global Health Care System in the Post Epidemic Era.". From a global perspective and a scientific attitude, the importance of strengthening the construction of the public health system is illustrated on the basis of national health reform and development.

  At this meeting, Dr. Gregg L. Semenza, a winner of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology and a professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, was invited. Dr. Semenza is one of the leading researchers studying the molecular mechanisms of oxygen regulation today. He led the field and revealed how cells adapt to changes in oxygen levels. At the conference, Dr. Semenza shared the theme of "Hypoxia Inducing Factors in Physiology and Medicine".

  Professor Andrew R Watson, President of the American Telemedicine Association, shared the theme of "The Development of Telemedicine at UPMC". Introduced the development and changes of telemedicine, and shared issues such as how to use cloud based medical platforms in the context of the epidemic.

  Tan Weiliang, Director of the Suzhou Municipal Health Commission and Secretary of the Party Committee, delivered a keynote speech on "What Should the Health Commission Do in the 5G Era?", introducing what measures the Suzhou Health Commission has taken to benefit people's health through 5G technology in the epidemic prevention and control.

The excellent reports and forward-looking thinking of experts have provided good opinions and suggestions for the development of Internet medicine in the future. Facing the future, actively embracing emerging technologies and capabilities such as 5G and artificial intelligence, promoting the normalization, orderly and healthy operation of Internet medicine and intelligent medicine, and establishing an industry standard and specification system have become everyone's consensus.
